Luck

Three people were sitting in a row of seats in an airplane: a venture capitalist, an entrepreneur and a big hairy motorcycle guy.

A big black bug was buzzing around in the airplane and landed on the shoulder of the venture capitalist. Annoyed, the venture capitalist brushed the fly off his shoulder, shooed it away and went back to reading his newspaper.

The big black bug buzzed around the airplane a bit more, and then landed on the shoulder of the entrepreneur. Annoyed, the entrepreneur brushed the bug off of his shoulder and went back to reading his iPad.

The big black bug buzzed around the airplane for a few minutes more…then, landed on the shoulder of the big hairy motorcycle guy.

The big, hairy motorcycle guy grabbed the bug from his shoulder, brought the bug up to his mouth, and he ate it!

Gulp.

A few minutes later… another big black bug was buzzing around in the airplane and landed on the shoulder of the venture capitalist. Annoyed, the venture capitalist brushed the fly off his shoulder, shooed it away and went back to reading his newspaper.

The big black bug buzzed around the airplane a bit more, and then landed on the shoulder of the entrepreneur.

The entrepreneur grabbed the bug from his shoulder, turned to the big hairy motorcycle guy and said… “Wanna buy a bug?”

*******

Luck and opportunity are everywhere: on the street, in the airplane, and even on the Internet.

When you are clear about who you are and where you are going, you are better able to notice and seize the opportunities that come your way.

Author's note: This picture is of all the pennies I have found on the street since January 1, 2012. I love to collect pennies from the street. They remind me that luck, abundance and opportunity are everywhere.... you just have to keep your eyes open to notice when the opportunities appear.

metamorphosis

"it is a quiet fire within, and it brings warmth and new confidence."
--- Frederic Hudson

What I love about cocooning....
sleeping in
going to bed early
taking bubble baths
eating healthy food
cooking
visualizing my future
reading books
getting massages,
a pedicure,
... and a manicure
watching movies
enjoying walks getting soaked in the rain
catching up on paperwork
cleaning out my closets
being quiet
listening to music
sitting by the fire
talking to the ducks
being mesmerized by the lake
feeling the fresh winter breeze
and...

knowing this time is only temporary.
